Narcissism

Narcissism is a growing issue and challenge generally in life and in culture. The narcissism that is rampant in society today is not just the pathological form and manifestation of the narcissism seen in Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) or Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Ever since the cultural revolution of the 1960's narcissism, in one form or another to one degree or another, has been proliferating throughout society in many areas of the world.
Have you ever wondered why you can read on endless blogs, for example, the speculation that many politicans or actors have NPD? Or some speculated combination of NPD and BPD? Are these increasing speculations an accurate reflection of those being speculated about or more of a telling reflection of those doing the speculating? Is there too much amateur diagnosing and pathologizing of others going on culturally? If so, what do you think that means in our everyday lives? How does it effect our world view? A world view that, to one degree or another, is a reflection of who each one of us is individually.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and the narcissistic traits found in Borderline Personality Disorder unfold within the reality that we do live in what many would largely define as narcissistic times in narcissistic culture.
